Tips for a dating break

Alright. I've had enough of online dating and dealing with men who just want sex. My heart desires a break from dating so bad and I just want to focus on myself and bringing up my confidence. Any tips on how to sucessfully take a break from dating. Keep in mind I'm constantly surrounded by people who talk about how important it is to get married and how you have to find someone in order to be happy and complete, and being around this usually makes me start dating again

Step 1

Find your passion. The thing naturally enjoy spending your time on. Or something you've been meaning to try, but never done.

 

Step 2

Find a group of people who share your passion and go hang out with them.

 

Step 3

Work on catching yourself when ever your start to beat yourself up over being single. It's not a disease. There's nothing wrong with you. You don't "need" to be married to live a complete life. When ever these thoughts start, just shout a loud "STOP" in your mind. It'll help break the cyclic thinking.

 

Step 4

Have fun. No really, just have fun with it. Being single can be an immensely fun and free experience if you let it be.

Don't look at it as a dating break but rather view it as a time to focus on you. Pursue a hobby or interest that you're interested in and gives you a sense of fulfillment. Sometimes when you take the emphasis off dating and pursue your own happiness the right person may just find you.
