ptopes Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Hey guys, I really need your advice on something. My boyfriend and I have ONLY been dating for a month, and we kinda hit our first bump last night. He's a really great guy, but we've been taking things slowly. We both have a sarcastic and joking personality, so it's difficult for either of us to offend the other. But last night I was trying to be intimate with him, but I was also messing with him by not kissing him on the lips. He jokingly laughed and was like "okay, just go kiss one of you side guys or your ex." I was immediately brushed the wrong way because I absolutely loathe my ex who ruined my life. Then, I already knew I was on the time of the month, so I told him that we weren't going to have sex. He agreed, but also mentioned how it was gross and made him nauseous. He mentioned it a few times and it just made me feel gross. I was uncomfortable in my own skin after hearing how sick it made him. I don't know if i'm just being moody, but I already slept on this fight and I woke up still upset by it. I texted him letting him know what I was upset for, and he said he thought I was unbelievably beautiful and that offending me was not his intention. He ended up falling asleep and the conversation didn't continue, which also frustrates me. Do I even have the right to be upset? If not, how do I even stop getting so upset over things like this? Thanks everyone

Thanks everyone Well you have just stated that you have a laugh and a joke , only you will know if he was out of order by the tone and previous comments ! If you think he has crossed the line , you need to have a chat with him and explain that upset you and appreciated him not saying it again ! Put it down to experience and a one off , if he carry s on doing it , then there's a problem
d0nnivain Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 You have to talk. Sit him down. Tell him that his comments hurt your feelings. His crack about your EX was most likely his sarcasm (at least that is how I understood it). His comments about your biological functions merit further discussion. However, feeling sick over menstruation seems like an over the top reaction. It's a process that will occur no matter who he dates so he will always have to deal with it. Time for him to grow up. Also no other person should make you feel bad about your own body. You need to get a handle on that.
