ManyDissapoint Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 How much facial hair are we talking about? You would be surprised at just how many women treat their face with various methods. She may have missed the memo about laser, or the other versions. If she's a sexy lady otherwise and you really like her I would say don't dump her as a lot of women have facial hair and it can be minimized. But this whole post makes you come across as really kind of a silly person, too silly to figure this stuff out on your own. 1
JasmineJones Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I say dump her. After all, how would you cope if she missed a leg waxing appointment one day and you had to deal with the trauma of seeing stubble on her legs? Dump her. Perhaps research blow-up dolls. They're hairless. 6
Lois_Griffin Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 OMG this is SUCH a non-issue. Tell her to use a facial depilatory, is all. It's cream you leave on (kind of like Nair) for a few minutes then wipe off and it removes the hair. Not Nair or bikini hair removal creams as they're not sensitive enough. She has to use one specifically for faces. Shaving just makes the area rough as it starts growing again and you WILL feel the stubble, like a man's face. You remind me of the Seinfeld group on TV. They found the most ridiculous reasons to break up with people - a woman with hands that were too manly, a guy who was a 'high-talker,' a woman who ate her peas one at a time, etc. etc. They'd break up with people for the most insignificant things. Your silly question about dumping someone because she's incorrectly dealing with facial hair is immature and silly. 4
Author Sports123 Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 I personally think you're being shallow. The woman I started seeing has a bit of peach fuzz on her face and I couldn't care less. She's pretty wonderful, so far and I wouldn't even think about dumping her based on that. Dude, my gf has more than peach fuzz. Is your gf's face rough when you rub against it or when you kiss her neck?
Author Sports123 Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 I take it you've done all the necessary checks OP? What do you mean?
Author Sports123 Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 If this is how you feel then there is a really easy solution. Keep dating her and save up for lazer hair removal for her. If she is shaving then she clearly doesn't want it there so you doing that for her (after discussion and if given if the right way) would probably mean the world to her. Turn this round to your advantage. But no I don't think that you should just dump her for this one. Address it, talk to her about it but not dump her. Well like I said, since it seems she has an hormonal imbalance, laser probably won't work. And what should I do in the mean time before I feel comfortable addressing it?
Author Sports123 Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 From the last sentence, it says how much you view this relationship. How can others help you decide whether you should dump or keep? I do view this relationship as important because she's great. I really like her alot. I just wanted to hear advice and see what others think.
MidwestUSA Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Also, I did some research on PCOS and if she has it, laser won't work because she has an hormonal imbalance. Laser just reduces it, but she probably will still have it. No, laser removes hair, regardless of cause, as long as the contrast between hair and skin is significant (dark hair on light skin). Will more grow back? Maybe. But out of another follicle. But yea, dump her if you're this superficial. 1

If you get up close to her in good lighting you can see some shadow and dots. Her jawline and neck are rough.

Laser is not permanent for people with hormonal imbalances. It will just reduce it or lessen it. It's been changed and is now called a reduction instead of permanent. I'm not superficial, I just am concerned I will be turned off one day by this, like if I see her without her makeup :0 2
GunslingerRoland Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 It's a pretty common problem for women from much of the world. (Pretty much everywhere but the orient & North Western Europe). I'd stick it out, as she gets more comfortable about it, she'll probably talk about it, and maybe you guys can come up with a different idea together (laser hair removal, etc?)

She's a pretty girl and I like her alot, it just sucks about her problem.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH you've always been one of my favourite people on this forum, but this is a slice of cake LOL. I learned the same thing with Seinfeld. I was always like wtf, also LOOK AT THIS FREAKS BEING SO JUDGMENTAL [except Elaine]. 2

There's always a chance of new hairs growing from other follicles. From someone who's had it done.

I agree it sounds like I'm being silly, but I think having my gf's face rough is more more than she eats peas one at a time. I am seeing her in a couple days and I am still deciding if I should cancel. We're supposed to be going to NYC soon and I am concerned she will decide to not do it one day and I will be repulsed and come off as shallow.

I'm not superficial, I just am concerned I will be turned off one day by this, like if I see her without her makeup :0 Yes this is true. I am a fellow wolverine who battles with constant facial hair on a regularly basis. Laser reduces the hair, in some areas makes it worse. _________________ ok, I had a female friend who was sporting a mustache and finally I nicely brought it up and told her to start waxing it. Turns out she was just lazy about it. I mainly decided to tell her, because people were talking about her back about it. The worst are women with blonde hair, HI WE CAN STILL SEE IT. It just sucks having dark hair, if it even grows mm - the satellites up in space can detect it. Guess what? I landed a bf who still loved me pre-wolverine stage and post. My ex just told me that there are online web portals that you can do that with. I showed him the bill burr clip.
MidwestUSA Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Oh you have a hormonal imbalance? You had hair on your jawline and neck too? No, I was just hairy, LOL! And, no, not so much on the jawline and neck. Chin and upper lip yes. And they 'grow back' too. My point is, it can be reduced regardless of the underlying cause. It may just take more treatments. And that takes $$$. 1

I don't want to be caught looking or making faces. She's a pretty girl and I like her alot, it just sucks about her problem. I'm not really suggesting you should bring it up to her... hey honey so I'm picking up a new beard trimmer at the store, do you want me to look for a 2 for 1 deal? I'm saying as you get closer you will see her without her makeup on, and she may talk about it... at that point you could maybe find out what she's tried/give suggestions. If you're going to be disgusted and make faces, then you probably shouldn't date women. Just wait until you get one pregnant and watch them give birth... lol 2

Did your ex dump you because of your facial hair?

She conceals the hair well, but since I'm so close to her I still see and feel it. I don't know if I will be able to handle seeing her without make up. She's very pretty and her face lights up when she smiles, she is special, but I don't know if her problem is too much for me. It always is something my last gf moved, one before cheated :sigh:
Miss Peach Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 If it's rough I would bet she shaves it too. There is also an epilator or waxing which will allow the hair to grow back softer than shaving. To me I would continue seeing her if you otherwise like her as that is an easy thing to 'fix' IMO. 1
40 Fonzarelli Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 It's only been 5 weeks and you're already unsure of her. Dude just dump her and find someone you're happy with. Clearly this girl isn't the one. 1

Clearly this girl isn't the one. I would be sure of her if it wasn't for her facial hair. She is pretty, nice, smart and we have a great time together. I could see myself falling for her. I just don't know if I can handle this issue.
