how would you react if a your co-worker, who was supposed to be your friend, is sleeping with your ex-lover of 4 years? since we moved to the area 2 years ago this individual has been "chasing her". i also believe he may have been the demise of our relationship. we have been apart for a few months. let me know what you think.

This is currently happening to a friend of mine... It sucks. Not that it matters necessarily, but how small is the company? Do you have to see this guy on a daily basis? If it was me, i'd be pissed, but wouldn't have much to say to the guy if he wasn't a good friend and/or someone that I spend allot of time with professionally. If the two of you barely know each other, then there's not too much of a boundary that he's overstepping technically, IMO. But... If he contributed in some way to the break up, then that's just plain wrong. Not much you can act upon tho without risking your work situation. Just wait for the next company party and bring some knock-out to make them jealous!

Sorry, I spaced out about reading that you guys were/are definitely friends. That's just plain wrong any way you look at it. Friends don't date friend's ex'es. That's a cardinal rule I think.
