Ok, going to report a "strange" occurrence today.

I work at a large store, deal with people all the time.

Today wasn't a good day for me. I found out they had cut everyones hours, including mine. I lose the potential to pay bills at times, this being one of them. So it was a really ****ty day/night, EXCEPT for a rather unusual occurrence, and not the first time this "type of thing" has happened either.

So all of you here now know I haven't been happy with what happened with that girl I was/am involved with. That bothered me a lot today as well, just thinking about being used (if that was the case).

So I take my lunch/dinner, and later than usual because the coworker of mine decides to have his at my usual time.

I go in the break room, pull out the cooler, and buy a drink from the vending machine. I always get the diet coke, never anything else. You know they now comes with names on them (Share a Coke with ------).

So tonights name is "Alexa".

Ok, no big deal, I get names all the time, so does everyone else.

I finish up, think nothing of it, but carry my drink out to the floor with me, then finish it up out there, throw the bottle in the can by my desk.

Some 15 minutes later, I get this old woman and (I assume) her daughter come into my dept and need help with locks, specifically a keyless one. That is significant because I tell them I prefer them for when I go diving. . They ask basic questions about that type of lock and then walk away, so do I. They leave the area and I go about my business, then I see them back by the locks once again. I help people all the time with that, so not unusual. Most never come back twice same night though.

The younger girl is very pretty, but too young for me. The mom is asking me things, then she noticed the gold coin on my neck. We get to chatting and I tell her/them I am a treasure hunter and found it out in the ocean (also the diamond ring I wear). We end up talking more about that than the locks (I did sell them 2).

So the younger girl starts smiling a lot, talking, opens up, says she likes to snorkel, asks me questions too. I ask her what her name is…

Yes, Alexa.

In my head, I'm like wtf?

So I smiled at her and walked to my trash can and showed her the bottle with her name on it. lol She was speechless.

Now I don't believe anything will come out of it because she looked like she was around 20, too young of me, but I don't believe this was by chance.

I have always, and still do, believe God works in mysterious ways.

So there is a message here tonight….

I piece it all together and figure this is God letting me know that He is in control, wanted to give me a feeling of ease and peace, which is what this did tonight.

The chances…..

I took a break later than usual,,,

Many coworkers get sodas from that same machine, I had to be there at the perfect time.

I had to be back out there on the floor to meet those ladies, and specifically in my dept too as I do get called out of there quite a bit for other store duties as well.

They left and came back, something that doesn't often happen.

Alexa on the bottle and also her name (that hit me right away)

I don't believe Alexa is a common name to begin with, never met one in my life.

We talk about treasure hunting, the mother is a certified diver too.

Coincidence?

I highly doubt it.

I have experienced things like this in the past during really bad times as well.

God is always in control, and sometimes He reminds us of that.

I also believe He is saying "hang in there, I have someone for you", which I still won't discount the lady I still talk about in my other posts.

All I know is I do trust God, always have, for whatever might come.

OMG! That sounds wonderful! If I were you I would keep talking to her, and eventually ask her out! Age is just a number.

Not this one, she is too young. I'm not looking to date anyone now anyway, just want to be alone and see if the current girl settles down and has anything to say (thats good).

It is very obvious this wasn't a normal occurrence….

I could have also had a guys name on the bottle, any names on any bottle…

But the fact just talking to her and the mother made me happy.,,

The younger girl lighting up too when she learned some things about me.

Message is that God was saying "you will have someone who really does appreciate you".

I not only have that unique hobby to offer, I have a lot more as well, and I know it.

There aren't many of us that treasure hunt here like I do either, I am a rare individual in that I do the most challenging and dangerous things possible, but the rewards are good :)

I wouldnt read it too much. I dont really believe in this stuff and the SAME thing happened to me.

I buy regular coke from time to time. I went to my local supermarket to get a bottle and just pulled out a bottle that had its labels facing the other way and you couldnt see the rest as it was on a lower shelf.

It wasnt till I got to the cashier when i looked on the bottle it had my name on it! "Phil".

The chances of that happening! lol

Well if you read my post as I shared it, you would see there is a lot more to it than that.

But I'm glad you enjoyed your drink :)

Most unusual and out of the ordinary…. too much came together to make this anything but some sort of a message from God.

That's your proof of God? Low standards for miracles these days.

Meh.

I'm rarely at the front desk at work but happened to be bringing mail up to the receptionist for mailing and happened to see an astronomically gorgeous young man in the lobby staring at me. I just stopped in my tracks and wondered where the hell HE'D come from. We don't get guys that look like that at work...let me think..hmmm....

EVER.

The fact that he was WAY too young for me wasn't lost on me, either.

Had I even said hi, he would have been more than receptive, judging from the way he was looking at me.

I just considered it a pleasant surprise in my otherwise mundane day, and had I gone up front either 5 minutes earlier or later, I would have never known he existed.

I didn't see it as some kind of serendipitous meeting that God planned or the forces of the universe coming together to make us meet. I was old enough to be his.... bigger sister. Some things really just happen because they happen.

No, not proof.

Proof of God is all around us. Many are too worldly to see that.

It does show, however, that God does work in some weird ways at times.

I'm sorry if you don't believe in God if you don't.

So what did god do? Did she bend all of reality, controlling the Coke manufacturing to put Alexa on that exact bottle, package it into the box that was being shipped to your store, then strip away all free-will of your coworkers, including Barry the janitor who REALLY wanted a diet Coke that night...until God smacked him upon the head and said "NO BARRY, that bottle is Mike, you can't have it. Drink Mt Dew tonight." And then god made you buy that exact bottle, forced Alexa and her mother into the store that night. Destroyed their free-will just to give you a sign? What a jerk!

Or did God magically turn that bottle into Alexa at the moment you grabbed it, even though it originally read Rodrigo? Just to show you a magic sign? Those bottles all have names on them so that's not a very convincing miracle.

Why not make a really clear miracle...since all the bottles have a name on them. Instead, on your bottle God could of wrote "Hey Mike, this is God, I wanted to give you a real clear sign of my existence. I saw you masturbating to treasure gnome porn last night. Who else would know you did that, much less write it on this bottle?"

But no God. You chose to write a name on a coke bottle, when all coke bottles have names on them. I'm supposed to believe you're omnipotent now? More like impotent.

I'm glad you had that encounter,,,,, at least you got some enjoyment out of that.

I think though if you compare what happened though, that happens on a normal and regular basis.

I also see pretty women, nothing new there, some are better looking than normal.

I think you missed the boat on the meaning of my post though :)

Here's the truth. God wanted you to have sex with the grandmother.

Or maybe you just read too much into things.

Since you did nothing with this sign God bestowed upon you, it wasn't really a sign of anything, now was it? Other than a sign that you don't really drink when led to water?

Yeah but the grandma wasn't too young. You're missing God's message.

(and btw, 20 might be too young to get serious but it's a great age for a rebound)
