Otter2569
What happens when you block someone and they try and contact you? Selfishly I am hoping that they get an undeliverable message or some indicator that they have been blocked? Blocked my exGF (long overdue). I went NC for almost 4 weeks but caved after she sent me a mushy birthday email. Like our relationship, it went from sappy to volatile in less than 3 days. You only have to kick me in the nuts half a dozen times before I realize that I am a ****ing idiot!!!
thunder777
block her how? on your phone?
louxor
I know on facebook if you block someone your profile just appears as "facebook user" with your picture being that default grey and white outline of either a male or female. Fairly sure there is no option to message that person either if they have you blocked
BC1980
With an iPhone, it just never goes through. You can send the text, but the other person never receives it. Blocking is not for the purpose of getting a reaction.
Author Otter2569
Yes, on your phone. She is not on Facebook. I checked to block there too because she used to be active on there. I made sure all of my FB settings were for friends only.

Blocking is not for the purpose of getting a reaction. this is a great point - if you're blocking them just to piss them off then it's for the wrong reason. You should be blocking them so you can move on, but if you are doing it for any other reason then it won't do you much good

You seem to be aware of how toxic this girl and "relationship" are, yet you still want to play games (i.e. eliciting a response from her when she realizes she's blocked). I understand the temptation, but this mentality only keeps you intertwined with this girl, when really, you should be looking to block her as a means of completely separating her from your life.
thunder777
windows phone stops u from receiving it, but it stores the message under the blocked numbers list grrr, so then you can eventually read what u dont want to read dont think android can block numbers
FancyFace
Android can block numbers. A samsung galaxy is an android right? Forgive me, I am not tech savvy at all. With a Samsung when you block the number from calling, it will ring once and then cut the call and give the other person a busy tone. From your side you won't even hear it ring but if you check your call list, it shows a blocked call. With messages, they go to your spam and if you wanna read them you can or just never go to spam messages. But like BC said, NC is for you to heal and move on, not to spite the other person. Author Otter2569
yeah, im kinda pissed for all the crap she put me through and yeah I feel stupid for going back time and time again only to deal with more garbage. It would be sweet justice if she received "blocked" return message. She is blocked and that is all that really matters!!!

When you block someone then the person cant send you any messages because it tells you you cant send a message to this person. Trust me, they know when they are blocked and they know that it means the person does not want to talk to you or for you to send them anything. Move on with your life, a mushy email turns into a bad situation so shortly? Yeah you guys need time apart.
candie13
on what's up, it's easier to get the message that you were blocked. Are you communicating via whatasupp? on iphone / mobile or messages, you cannot tell if you've been blocked. Don't worry, if you're a bottle of nerves, she's 2 ! Just block her. You'll be on your witt's end for a month or two then it'll get better. The sooner you start, the sooner you get there, mate!
Author Otter2569
Good points all. The recent interaction just made everything worse for me. Thanks for the timeline Candy - I was just wondering when the F I will feel better. I know everyone is different but I just need to move on.
