Nemetona Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 As a woman who is 5'9 I find myself very turned off by guys who are shorter than me. I'm OK with a guy who is also 5'9 (although taller is more attractive). Earlier this year I briefly dated a man who was about 5'5 and I was unable to find him physically attractive due to his height. I'm curious, how do men feel about women who was much taller than them? How does it make you feel?
TaraMaiden2 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 There are numerous threads on this topic: Here's one: There are others.
thunder777 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 im 6 foot 7 and i dont like women over 6 foot.
Jules Dash Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Man to obese woman: sorry, I prefer thin women. Group of women: What a jerk! You are so shallow! Woman to short man: Sorry, I prefer tall men. Group of women. Me too, girl! Look at him all mad. He must have short man syndrome! Haha! I am 6''1 and say it's ok to like what you like. 9
Guyouthere Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I'm 6'1 and don't care how tall or short or tall the woman is. Shorter can be an issue during sex, but there are ways around that.
Guyouthere Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Women are so obsessed with height but get angry and upset when men want slim women. To top it off, height is something one can't really control but weight can be controlled. Women can wear high heals and increase their height.
Hopeful30 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 As a woman of 5"10, I'm not gonna lie, when a man is taller than me, I actually feel like the woman in the relationship. When I'm taller than my man (by more than an inch, let's say) I feel weird. I don't like having to bend down to kiss my man, or not be able to hold his hand because he feels like I'm his mommy. Height isn't THAT high a priority, but I can tell you right now, men have literally told me "You are beautiful, and attractive, but if I date you, I won't feel like a man anymore because you are taller." Broke my heart, but what can I say, not every man can handle so much woman 3

rocketman122 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) never dated a woman taller than me which is 183cm. I prefer women shorter than 170cm. she wears heels and I have to take that into consideration. I did date a woman who was 178cm and she wore heels and I felt emasculated. she was not fat but she didnt have a stick figure. she had a nice figure but at 178cm she felt big. I preferred my ex who was 163. perfect height. she rested he head on my chest and It felt perfect. short guys like to nab taller women. its some kind of challnege and an accomplishment. LostOnes05 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Sure, everyone likes what they like. As a guy slightly taller than the man OP was dating, does it really matter to me? Nope. People have to be secure in themselves. For me, if we get along and enjoy each other's company why not? What bearing does a man's height have on his potential to be a suitable match? If a woman judges me based on my height. Fine, her loss. I was a triple athlete, in great shape, and have a lot going for me. A man feeling emasculated by a woman's height is pretty sad. If that's the only characteristic that determines his manhood, then he is doomed from the start. I'd laugh it off and say something like, "Hey, at least now someone in my family will have the opportunity to dunk a basketball one day :)" or "I'd take off my hat, but I don't want you dropping crumbs in my hair :)". Make her laugh and go about our day.
jen1447 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Great thing about women is they can be taller, shorter, or same height and it doesn't matter. 4

But I also don't mind men wanting slim women. But then I am a slim woman lol.

Guyouthere Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Lets cut the chase here….. Women want the *******, no matter what he looks like. They avoid the better guys out there, and then complain when they get **** on. Its not about height, or really anything else.
Revan32 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I'm curious, how do men feel about women who was much taller than them? How does it make you feel? I couldn't do it. And its not because I'd feel intimidated or emasculated. I just feel zero attraction for girls who are very tall. I'm 6'3", but my average dating height is probably around 5'2". I've tried seeing taller girls too. A lot of them come on very strongly when they see me but I usually politely turn them down. 2
GoldDragon Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Also to answer question in the OP. I'm 5'8, have no problem dating taller. Have done it before. I don't feel one way or the other about it. Height is a silly reason to rule someone out IMO.
Author Nemetona Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 So you have it good both ways. Lol. Not necessarily as presumably some men would find me too tall
menyou Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Height makes no difference when you're lying down... Lol
ThugLifing Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I'm 6'3" but am glad I'm not height challenged. I personally have dated a woman who was 5'11".. Didn't bother me, plus she had legs for days . Height isn't much of a thought for me, but seems to be the first deal breaker for women. 1

She was taller than me when she wore her heels but she didnt care what other people though. I find women who are 5 foot 9 and over are a turn off.

I think this is common. I don't care about height but all serious relationships have been with guys 6'1 to 6'5. They are the guys who pursue my short self. I've never really had shorter guys pursuing me hard. 1
jen1447 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Height makes no difference when you're lying down... Lol Oh yes it does .... 2
menyou Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Oh yes it does .... Anything can certainly be argued.
seekingluck Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I prefer when the man is taller than me. I am 5'4, so odd are good. But i have also been super attracted to men my height too. It just depends on how it comes together. I am a bigger woman, so short+skinny seems wrong, I generally like men who are thicker or stocky. But tall guys have more leeway on body type for me.
