My guess is that he pulled the car trick on you for two reasons: to justify getting the sports car he wanted to get, and to entrap you. Are you starting to see how these people operate?

I guess I'm not fully understanding the car thing because if the balance is on his credit card, how does that effect your ex? I'd leave him with the credit card and the debt. End of discussion.

No he said he would put it on his credit card, but now he's saying "no". So the car is gone. And I have to pay 9k immediately. And he has said he won't put it on card anymore and he has all my money.

Now that the fight is over, he says he will pay. But it remains to be seen. The payment is already 30 days late. He says it's my ex credit so he is in no hurry.

I would suggest that you get his credit card number and pay the debt with it yourself but that may get you in trouble. Either way, make sure it gets paid and do not let up on him about this until he takes care of it. Get him drunk if you have to. After that, leave this ridiculous jerk and never talk to him again. In the future, please do not ever trust anyone when it comes to money. Especially when it can impact you this much.
