Bo34 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I'm just curious, when a dumper dumps you, but profoundly expresses their desire for you to still remain a part of their lives as friends is it a result of; 1) Going easy on the dumper to not hurt them too bad? 2) Their own selfish reasons? (Avoiding guilt) 3) To have them as a backup plan down the road? 1
Hoosfoos Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 4) Making themselves look like the good guy, as in, "Hey, I might have dumped you but I'm still a nice person because I'm offering you friendship! And we were great friends before we dated so there's no reason to believe we can't be friends again." Yuck. 1
Christos Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 All 4 above... Yup, all at the same time...
FancyFace Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 At the end of the day, does it even matter?
Maggie4 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 dumpers don't want to go cold turkey. They got used to having you around. They want to move on, but be slowly weened off.
