So I had a funny convo with my long-distance crush today. We were chatting about our weekends and he asked me if I had seen his Facebook photos from the weekend. I responded I had seem some.

We have only been Facebook friends a few weeks, and don't have common friends so I don't expect to see his posts. I really have to seek them out.

And so that starts this thread. Are you a Facebook stalker? Do you browse the profiles of your crushes/dates/etc (and I mean the stages before you are officially an item).

Some of my friends mentioned they don't add people they are dating ever. I am pretty open about adding people, I have a low bar - do I like you as a person, are you interesting, do I want to know more about you. If any of those are yes, then I'll add you.

So are you a Facebook stalker?

*I have skimmed his photos to date! Haven't commented on anything. Liked a few things.

Facebook stalker? Hell, yes!

Adding people you date? I d only add them months down the line. The reason is Facebook is a GREAT mass communication tool.

However it has downsides for when you are about to date someone.

FB may show pics of old flames, holidays snaps when they were together. Theres been a couple of people I know who I tried to date and found old pics of their ex flames. FB also shows sides to people you might not necessary like.

The way they hold political views. Their annoying posts about "me, me, me".

Trust me I ve been put off people who I was initially attracted to first. Only to find a picture of a post that makes me look the other way.

If its for you then bash on!

Good on you, as you never know where the dating will lead and sooner or later they delete you off FB and its like double ouch!

I always forget people don't have the same Facebook philosophy I do, and I am "hurt" that they don't add me! LOL.

But many people share a lot more than I do on it. I share articles and occasional pictures and check-ins. So you can't totally glean much about my personal life. I have not that many photos with me actually in them.
