blackchild Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 i have been dating this guy for two years. he was my first everything! he even proposed to me after my high school graduation. we broke up because he never considered my feelings. he treated me as if i was here just to be here, ( as if i didn't matter)i loved him so dearly and it hurt like hell to let him go. months after we broke up we tried to work things out , but he was too controlling. it got to the point where i physically felt like i was short of breath being around him. there would be times where he would have my friends call me and talk to me about him,just so he could listen in. well recently i found out from a friend at my church (which is the place where we first met, and my friend introduced us)told me that my ex brought a "hoodrat" to church and wondered why i wasn't there to see it! it hurt so bad to know that he would bring a girl to place where he knew i would be.after that day i being to think about all the good things about our relationship ( although the bad out weighted the good) and now i miss him. is this a natural feeling, and do you think that he's doing this to get my attention?

I'm sure he was trying to get your attention, but not in a positive way. He just wants to see that he still has an impact on you and that you still have feelings for him. Why do you miss someone that mistreated you?
Author blackchild Posted May 19, 2005 Author Posted May 19, 2005 pocky you're right! i guess i only missed him because i wasn't receiving any kind of attention and my ex use to call me every five minutes that i forgot what it was like to have time to myself!i have a new wonderful man in my life now. just last night i was with him and my ex kept calling and sending me text messages asking me if i wanted to talk! it was so annoying that i just left my phone in the car! i guess i was going crazy over the fact that i wasn't the center of his affection but honestly pocky you opened my eyes to see that it's not important anymore. thank you

It just so happens you go to the same church. I think it was a bad idea to bring a hoodrat. FYI a hoodrat is a scummy kind of girl. If that helps. I think you just have to accept the fact that he's move on. And I think you should do the same If you were happy before him, you will be happy after him

Keep ignoring him - he only does this for attention. Ambivalence is a powerful tool.
