This is on OKC. Is that site known for inane messages?

I just got some more today that are nearly equally stupid:

"hi

I like yr profile , u look cute,

but what was yr ex thinking when he let you to go" [my profile doesn't mention any ex]

&

"hi beautiful I like know more about u"

Do guys on OKC only care about physical appearance?

Not necessarily; you will get inane messages from every OLD site.

I'd be more concerned about communicating via "text-speak" versus complete sentences.

That was par for the course on OKC, for me. Text-speak, commenting only on my appearance, and typically from guys 15 years younger than me.

I've had a much better experience on Tinder. They actually comment on my dogs or travel pictures, ask me about both and strike up real conversations.

Love it!

I occasionally have some fun and write something like 'so i'm new to all this OLD... are we officially dating now?' and I've had some pretty great conversation starters from that! haha

I've received rhat line, and when I ignored it, days later received, "I feel like this relationship isn't going very well." Ignored that one, too.

Well...Humour obviously doesn't work on everyone....

Actually, truth be told (and we ARE all friends, here, riiiiiight???)...if I ever received that follow-up message ("I feel like this relationship isn't going very well") after ignoring his previous "Does this mean we're dating/sexing/getting married, now?",

I probably would respond, just from the hilarity of it. It would suggest a similar type of humor...and a guy that can make me laugh is ALWAYS a good thing!

I too would give points for the second reply. That shows a sense of humor seldom seen on OLD.
