NY native, 58, male, divorced, not seeing anyone anywhere. Been living in SC for 20 years, own home there, and just took a long term contract for 2-3 years in a large city in upstate NY been here 3 months.

Will go back to SC when done no question. I have a 12 yr old grandson, special needs, dad was gone before he was born, and I am helping raise him. He is my #1 priority in life. Fly back every other weekend to see him. At 12 needs male influence and I'm it. Lol, god help him!

Anyway I'm honest with the women I meet in my new city, who are usually from online dating. I do tell them on first date. And for the most part the last date! Its possible its just me and and the two aren't connected. But I have dated before and never have had a problem but never was in this situation. Haven't gained weight, or become more or less than the knucklehead I've always been. So thinking my transient status is the problem.

I cannot lie and not tell them. Thinking I should put this info in my profile. I know its gonna cut down on replies but why waste their time, and my money, if its a deal breaker? Plus by not saying it in my profile I feel like I'm lying same as if I had phony photos. So I guess I answered my own question. Put it in, hope there is a woman out there who isn't worried about that not like if I don't meet the right one we can't figure something out.

Anyone been in similar situation?

Thanks.

What exactly are your intentions? Do you hope to meet someone that will move to SC with you? Or have a LDR with? Or just someone temporarily?

Sorry for late reply and thanks. I am looking LTR now so yes, someone who would be willing to go to SC eventually. But also someone to date now....who knows where we'll be in 2 to 3 years.

The more I think on it the more I think I should not make a big deal out of it and just say I go back on occasion to see my grandson.
