Ok long story made a little bit shorter. I like this girl who is extremely quiet, very religious, and barely talks to any boys. I am religious too but not the same religion as her and I am sure that would count as a minus for me.I've danced with her(and I'm almost positive that I'm the only boy who has) but thats it. I've tried talking to her but it is very hard. How can I get her to open up to me?And eventually go out with me?

She will not open up to you or anyone else unless she wishes to. Some girls (and boys) are quite shy, & the idea of talking to someone of the opposite gender is terrifying. Incidentally, I've seen this in men & women in their 20's & 30's.

This situation would require a slow, careful approach. Don't try to be anything more than a platonic friend at first. Try to get to know her on that basis first.

And be prepared for the possibility that she would not want any more than that. You don't say how old you are, may I assume that you're both teens? She may not be at a point in her life to want a boyfriend. Also consider that her parents may think she's too young to date, or would prohibit her from dating someone of a different religion.

When I was in high school I had an unbelievable crush on a girl who sat behind me in French class. Imagine how I felt when, after I finally worked up the courage to ask her out, she told me that her parents did not allow her to date non-Jews.

Good luck!
