So this is how I feel right now :sick::sick:

I met my girl online 6 months back and I have met her in real life when I went to her country and all went good and we did hit up quite well in real life too. Now since i am seriously thinking of closing the LDR by moving to her country for a while but my main concern is parents approval since I come from a very conservative Asian country

The chance of approval is probably 20% or less because I know them very well as they keep dreaming of marrying me with some local girl from my country and they would have never imagined even in their wildest dream that I would do such a thing with them i.e get a girl from abroad.

I could keep it all secret and stay in that country with her without telling them but I feel like i would be cheating that way

So what should I doing if they say no? What should be my Plan B? I am freaking scared and nervous about it and I do love the girl a lot but the thing i am going to do might cause the next world war in my family

Your an adult, so the only opinion that matters in the context of your relationship, is that of your partner and your own.

Depending on the parents' age I might simply tell them that you are moving to the other country. That is going to be hard enough for them to deal with. But it will also force you to come up with the logical business case for moving. If you don't have economic opportunities there & are only moving for her, don't do it.

Once you get there & start dating more conventionally after a month or so tell your parents you met somebody. They don't initially need to know the details of how you connected via the internet. Give them a chance to like her as a person

I would get some sort of plan established in her country before bringing it up to your parents. At least that will lessen the burden rather than going in there without any plan.

"Mom, dad, I've already got a job at XYZ company" sounds a lot better than "Not sure what I'm gonna do when I get there".

It might be very difficult to do given your upbringing in a conservative culture, but you have to do what you believe is best for you. Would you be happy if you did what your parents told you and married a local girl they chose for you? If not, then do what you need to do - take control of your life.

I don't know whether or not it is a good idea to move to your gf's country (that would depend on a whole lot of factors such as how you like the country, job opportunities there etc), but the only person who should make the decision about that is you. Not your parents.

You do what you have to do. It's your life, don't let it be controlled by others. If you and that girl truly love each other then go for it.

Your parents might be irritated for a while, but I'm sure your happiness is also important to them.

My job allows me to stay anywhere while working so its not a problem .I can relocate anywhere I wish. That's the reason I cant have her in my country as she will have a hard time working on new country and we wont be able to live in together due to conservative culture

Yes I guess parents will really be upset initially since they never really expected that to happen.:(
