Hi

Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on Tiffany's Lucida engagement rings....

Thanks! :-)

I love the way the tiffany rings look and i feel that they are a good quality. However, as I am sure you know, compare a lot before you have to pick a ring that cost that much. A good place to go to compare rings is theknot.com. Have fun!

Thanks for your advise!

The story: I found this note "sort of lying around in my boyfriend's stack of things" with all sorts of diamond info incl. Tiffany's Lucida rings.

Now, I had a look at them online and just don't really know whether a ring like that would look good on me. I must sound really really spoilt but let's face it these are expensive things and you should get what you ABSOLUTELY love!!

Then again, I really wouldn't want to go shopping with him but find it really sweet that he wants it to be a surprise.

How about keeping the diamond but changing the setting if I really didn't like it. Guys, would you be offended if your girlfriend did that?

Another thing: I have quite fine fingers. Anyone knows what type of women Lucida looks best at.

Hope you don't find my questions stupid!

check out the forums on pricescope.com for ring information- lots of women have posted their pictures wearing many different rings as well. it might give you an idea for size, comparable rings, etc.

Tiffany rings are ridiculously overpriced - although you are guaranteed exceptional quality, you can do just as well with a non-branded setting that's identical to *Tiffany*. What a lot of grooms do is buy a diamond that's set in a temporary setting that's only like $100 or even free with the diamond, and then they go shopping for the setting together after the fact.

I didn't go that route. I stole one of my now-fiancee's rings and got the size checked. Bought a diamond and had a Gelin-Abaci tension set ring made. These are really cool, but you cannot size them, and they're custom jobs, so it takes a while. I really wanted to surprise my fiancee, and I was pretty much on my own. If you've been together with your bf for a semi-long period of time he should know what your style is.

My feelings wouldn't have been too terribly hurt if she wanted to change settings because this is a ring she's going to be wearing for a long, long time.
