Toodaloo Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Cross fingers my lovelies but I may have found a good 'un. Not just a good 'un but the elusive "amazing guy" that I have been searching for. The one that is extraordinary and brilliant and fantastic just as he is. Oh My Word. He is just fantastic. I think I may have dislocated my jaw from smiling so much! 23
scooby-philly Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Congrats....as a nice guy who spent two relationships with women who weren't really affectionate or able to express their feelings (other than anger & disappointment) - tell him how you feel & treat him as well as he treats you... Best of luck!!!!! (Nice to hear good things on here every once in a while!)
Gaeta Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Don't keep all the details to yourself..........c'mon!
angel.eyes Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 :D:D Congrats! I hope it works out brilliantly!
Author Toodaloo Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 Its only one date but he is just fabulous. Very local as in 5 minutes away, same sort of interests but with twists to them, same motivations and ideals, same basic ideas about life. But on top of that he is the most awesome creature on two legs that I have come across in a really long time. He seems to feel the same way which is always a bonus. He is also a fabulous kisser! I suspect I may end up mauling him!!! 5
PegNosePete Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I thought you were talking about me for a minute there! 2
J21 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Aww so sweet. I wish the best for you both! Hope the feeling continues forever
fitnessfan365 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Its only one date but he is just fabulous It's awesome you had such a great date Tood! Also, a five minute drive is definitely convenient for when the mood strikes. But I do worry you're jumping the gun a bit here. I mean anyone can seem great after a first date. You know I'm rooting for you. However, my only advice is to slow you roll a bit and try to be more realistic. Hopefully he'll be just as great at three dates, five dates, three months, and beyond.. 2
Author Toodaloo Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Spent a lot of time with this guy over the weekend. Its all good. Not seeing him for a couple of days now as I have stuff booked and I am busy over the next few days. Our "babies" (dogs) have now met. One of mine is a bit jealous and sulking but she will get over it. No he hasn't been mauled yet but I have threatened!!! And he likes the idea! Yup... little ol' Toodles has turned to smush here folks. I am sure normal service will resume shortly once it either ends or he starts leaving the toilet seat up! 6
Snakechammah Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I'm very happy for you, Toodles! Keep updating us - we love a happy story! If he starts any crap, we'll beat him up for you. All the best!
joseb Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Great to here some good news on here. Keep us up to date on progress.
Author Toodaloo Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 If he starts any crap, we'll beat him up for you. All the best! Please don't... He went to the olympics and competed in boxing quite a few years back... Smashed his jaw up pretty quick as he didn't duck fast enough and the other guy caught him! So didn't get very far at all but what the heck, its more than many have ever achieved. I have snogged an olympian! What a box to be able to tick off! I did tell you all he is fabulous. He is one of those that will not ever start a fight but I am afraid he would finish it with out much effort. So don't worry. If he turns out to be an a-hole I will just dump his sorry ass. He isn't at all though so far! I have also been boxing to get rid of my bat wings so he is going to teach me how to do it right as I know I am getting it wrong. If he does that I will probably be able to knock him out myself lol! He has hands like shovels but he is so gentle and soft. I have been having perverted dreams about those hands... What is it about a big strong man who is gentle and soft that is just so damned sexy?
Author Toodaloo Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 What is he like? Describe! He is a great bear of a man. But oh so gentle. Ex military, used to box, now a tradesman, self employed. He has an aura of self assurance about him but he is actually very shy and not at all confident when it comes to women (thats about to start changing!). He has great big broad shoulders and middle aged spread! He has fantastic dreams and aspirations. Some are just really silly little things but would be so much fun. I would actually love to help him achieve some of them. He is reasonably quietly spoken and chats for ages. He wants to learn to ballroom dance! He is also happy in his own company. Silence doesn't bother him at all. 2

Clarence_Boddicker Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 What kind of vehicle does he drive?
Leigh 87 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Yay! So happy for you. I am also smitten right now and doesn't it feel amazing when the one you fall for, seems equally enamoured with you?! 1
Author Toodaloo Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 What kind of vehicle does he drive? You really do not want to know... If you are that curious though... A battered 10yr old van that contains all of his work gear and STINKS. He is a farrier so it hums to high heaven. Manky old foot clippings, old horse shoes, the furnace, steel... There are manky dog chews, old dog leads and lead ropes and "most useful" things all over the floor... The passenger seat belt clip has been chewed so you have to close it in a special way! I love it. Feels like home! 3

Now that we're into confidence. I met someone, he's smitten like a sick puppy and I decided to ride with it, I'm hopping I will get the smitten sickness as well. :-) 1
