They are very subjective I suppose, and based on previous experiences to an extent. What are some of the must-haves for you and what are the deal breakers? For example, I learned recently that emotional support and understanding from the partner is a must-have for me, and interestingly it's a must have both ways - must receive, but must give back also. Kindness is another one. Physical appearance I am typically less concerned with - I find if a person has confidence, that itself is attractive, handsome in a traditional sense or not.
