fifipheebs Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 my friend who happens to be male, in the past always initiated contact with me. and we would talk or text for hours. fast forward to a year later and his contact is dwindling. it feels like a fade out but we still hang once in a while. i'll get a text from him if i'm lucky once a month. i am not used to it. why would a guy go from texting and calling 2-3 times a week for a full year to if i'm lucky 1 text a month? so confused.
cif Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Does it matter? If in the span of a year your relationship went no where then who cares?
stillafool Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Probably because he is dating someone and too busy. If he is just a friend of yours why don't you call him to catch up. That's what friends do. 1
xcupid Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 You don't have a relationship with him. You have a friendship with him. It's either a close one or it's not. If it's a close one or you want it to be (purely platonic from the sounds of it) then you have to do your part to keep in touch with him, too. He shouldn't have to contact you all or most of the time. It's time for you to take the initiative and contact him.
