ThisisIt606 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I've been dating this guy I met on an online dating site for 3 months. We agreed we are exclusive. I feel as though I'm ready to introduce him to one of my friends. ( I don't have a lot in the area anymore due to them leaving for jobs/ grad school) The friend I chose is very nice, talkative, and an upbeat person. I spoke with her already and we chose 2 days next week that would work for us. I suggested bar Trivia bc it's fun, low key, and gets people talking quickly. She's definitely game. My guy and I already have plans for this week. How should I go about asking him to meet my friend? I was thinking of telling him " my friend and i are planning on going to bar trivia x or x day next week. It will be fun, you should come! Does a certain day work better for you?" I'm going to go to trivia with my friend regardless but I definitely do want him to come and meet her/ Start introducing him to the people in my life.
pleasedtomeetyou Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I think that's a great way to broach the subject. Just slip it organically into the conversation. It appears like it's no big deal, which means he's more likely to interpret it as no big deal and will be way more comfortable with the whole thing. 1
rester Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I think you've been dating long enough to say something like, "I'd love for you to meet my friend 'Jane'. We're going to trivia night this week. Want to join us?" 1
d0nnivain Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Stop making it more complicated then it has to be. Just pick a time & event where your friends will be & bring him along. 1
Author ThisisIt606 Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) The only reason why I was mentioning 2 dates is bc I believe he has tickets to a concert next week ( concert that was supposed to happen a few months ago but got postponed) I think I'll just stick to asking him about 1 day that works for me and my friend to make things less complicated.
