marcarinq Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 so, there's this guy I'm friends with (i'll call him N) we've only known each other for barely a month. He's always poking/squeezing my side, stomach and legs. sometimes i catch him staring at me and when i catch him he doesn't break the stare, if we're in a group and I'm walking slow, he'll slow down, and every time there's a door he always holds it open for me. the second week he carried my backpack for me for like 6 block because it was too heavy. Here's a few things that have happened this week: -TUES: him and I went to my friends(I'll call her S) house after school and i was on the couch, when i got cold he got up and got a blanket the literally tucked me in (like how a parent would do to a child) and he put my legs on his lap so that i could stretch out and he would tap/squeeze/pinch and rub my knees legs and feet or tap them to the beat of whatever song came on tv -WED:when we were walking with S after school again he took my hand and started to twirl me like when people dance -THURS: he just did more staring/door opening and poking stuff, but when we were walking he tricked me and reached into his pocket and asked me to hold something, so i held out my hand and he grabbed it and interlaced our hands together in front of all these people in class -FRI: that day N, S and myself had made plans to go see a movie, and before the show we were at S' house and he was sitting with me and tried to lace our hands together again, and when we were in the car i said my feet were cold so he held them to make them warm. When we were in the movie, he left the armrest up so there was nothing between us, and N knows that I get tired during movies, and he told me that if i did he would take his phone out of his pocket so that i could lay in his lap. It was pretty cold in the theater, so i had my knees against my chest and my feet up and he would start poking my feet and kinda lightly squeezing my leg, we always joke around like this so it wasn't really abnormal. At one point he just looked down at me and lightly squeezed my nose with his thumb and pointer finger. during the show there was a part where i teared up a bit and he tried to cover me so i wouldn't be embarrassed and later he kinda laid down on his side and had his arm out towards me, i wasn't sure if he wanted me to lay down or what because he just looked at me a didn't say a word even when i asked him. When the three of us were on the way home, i was next to him in the car and on sharp turns i would lean on him accidentally and he was like "are you trying to make a move" and I was like haha yeah right and then he went, "because i wouldn't mind if you did" I just want to know what you guys think his feelings are towards me and help me decode some of this body language. the both of us are teenagers, and I've never had a boyfriend so i dont know the signs. we always joke around so some things he says or does I can never tell if hes joking or what. and I cant talk to anyone else about this because my other friend likes him, but he's made it clear he doesn't have the same feelings, i just dont want to start drama by bringing it up to her. could you guys please give me some insight on his feeling, body language, and what i should do? Thanks
Gus Grimly Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Yes, yes he does. He's probably in love with you too. If you like him you should just be honest with him. I know it's scary, but you should get in the habit of doing it, will help later down the road. When I was your age there was this girl I REALLY liked. Similar situation to yours, we were all touchy-feely, but I never made a move. She finally gave up and hooked up with my best friend. Yikes, that crushed me. To this day I still give him hell about it. hehe.

I mean we've barely known eachother for a month, and plus we're only 16.. what should i do to give him hints that i like him back, besides telling him straight forward?
Toodaloo Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 You know what - when you are young you fall in and out of love like yo yo's. Your friend will forgive you and she will move on to someone else. If she doesn't well I am afraid those are her issues to deal with as he doesn't want to be with her anyway and so its never going to work between them. Just tell him. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but what have you honestly got to lose? 1

Well, what a 16-year-old boy might consider love. jk Yeah, I'd give him subtle hints. If he still doesn't bite you could write him a letter explaining how you feel. Listen, being honest is the best way to go. I understand how scary rejection is, but you have nothing to lose. 1
