They will talk to me around other women, just not guys. Any thoughts?

Don't want other guys to think they're with you maybe.

Important follow-up question: are you a man or a woman?

Because that might change the answer dramatically.

Oh right. Duh.

I had a good guy friend when I was young and single (I'm female btw). We would hit the bar together and I would help him talk to women. Worked like a charm.

However, it never worked the other way around. Mostly because when other men saw my friend and me, they assumed we were 'together.'

So depending on the setting and the context, OP, if you're hanging out with female friends and they are looking to meet men, they may be concerned about whether your presence makes that harder.

Another possible context: you're in a social setting with a bunch of your male friends. And you try to talk to a woman, but she's scared off by your buddies. This is also really common. If YOU are the one trying to meet women, and you're going out with a pack of dudes, your pack is probably to blame.

Long story short: if you want to meet women, you need to take a risk and go hunting solo (or barring that, with one other person who is not competition).
