Thaddius Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I worked with a girl on a team project a year ago and we had a good interaction but never followed up to anything more because it was mostly business. Then, on Friday night I went out to the bars and I'm 97% sure I saw the girl there. She was with another guy so I decided to just leave it at that. The next day, Saturday, I go out to the same strip again and this time I see her again at a bar across the street. She was alone this time so I decided to approach her. We greeted each other and briefly caught up. A few minutes into the interaction I brought up really casually that I may of saw her last night but wasn't sure. She looked down towards the floor for like 3-5 seconds and then shaked her head back and forth and said nope. I was just like "oh, okay must of been someone else". After that I met her friend(female) and then ejected to meet up with other people. I'm pretty freaken sure it was her -- same dress, same hair due, same outfit. Just curious to why she might of lied because we aren't even that close.
ExpatInItaly Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 If you're sure it was her, perhaps she was with someone she shouldn't have been with (ie a guy with a girlfriend or wife) Or maybe she's not single and the guy isn't her boyfriend. In any case, I doubt her denial is directly related to you. 1
Zagan Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Agreed, could have been because she was with somebody she shouldn't have been (not sure why this would worry her though as you are just a casual acquaintance) or it wasn't her at all. Since you really have no relationship to this woman I don't think she has any reason for lying so even if she was it was probably nothing at all to do with you.

LOL OP, you are one of the lucky people that inadvertently stumble across someone doing something publicly they know they shouldn't be doing. Of course you are just an acquaintance of hers and she owes you nothing but her reaction to your question pretty much sums it up. Don't involve yourself with it. If she is doing something nefarious she will eventually trip up of her own accord.
