GF's parents confronted me about issues me and my GF are having. They think I am the one in the wrong. They basically told me I am wrong and I need to stop

They told me that this is the last time this issue will be talked about and I will NOT talk to my girlfriend about the problems we have been having

Are my girlfriend's parents interfering with our relationship?

What are the issues and what have they told you you need to stop doing?

Posted

Probably the breaking in with a ski mask and gun.

Still hoping you have that on video op?

Not much point pranking without recording.

No wonder they're interfering going by what you wrote in your other thread.

Actually, I'm surprised they're still talking to you considering that incredibly stupid stunt you pulled.

Is this regarding your other thread?

How old are you?

OMG. . . .you really don't get it do you? You broke into your own house with a mask & a gun to "prank" your GF! What an incredibly stupid, reckless & insensitive thing to do. The fact that your GF didn't dump you immediately necessitated the parents to step in, to protect their daughter from herself and you.

You are lucky you only got punched. She could have killed you.

While I generally think parents should stay out of their children's relationships, in this case because she hasn't kicked you to the curb, I think the parents were right to interfere.

I saw your other post where you say you are being told by people that you are not funny when you are just trying to be goofy. What you did by breaking into the house is a serious thing because it could have ended in blood easily. That was not funny and they had a right to interfere in this case.

Maybe you could try and figure out why is it that you seem to have compulsion to entertain and be the clown? Talk to some therapist and they will help you figure things out.

Offer something else to your girlfriend, like stability and safety, rather than clowning around trying hard to be funny.

If the Op truly did this, the parents will never warm up to after a stunt like that.
