No Foolin Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 I have a question: Is mood music before retiring to the bedroom (sex), normal for women? I have female friend that I club with occasionally. Every now and then, I end up crashing at her place after clubbing, as a result of having to take a taxi (both to loaded to drive), aannyywwaaayy....... One thing led to another (this happens from time to time). My issue is, I'm sitting on the couch when we roll back to her place, we engage in the normal pre-event chit chat, then she disappears into her room lights go off throughout the house, she throws on her silk robe (cool)................and then she turns on the KENNY G (not cool) . Were both in our early 30s so I guess I can see where she may have picked up her taste for it back in the late 80s but, this does nothing for me. I almost want to start laughing, like I'm listening to a banjo or something. I mean, I'm talking a greatest hits album, I was totally distracted, lol..... She's a good friend and I kid her about it, but she says she always needed music to set the mood, hmmmmmm. Do any of you LS ladies need music to set the mood? No Foolin
HotCaliGirl Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 I don't NEED music to set the mood, but it does enhance it! Not Kenny G though!!!
candamar Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 So how about you buy her a more appropriate CD? Just tell her you like it and thought she might like it too. She might take the hint and play it next time you're together. (Perhaps not Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture though!)
LucreziaBorgia Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 Sometimes music is good. I remember one particular time with Pretty Hate Machine by NIN playing in the background... wicked stuff, indeed. I'd have to say that if anyone played KennyG to 'set the mood' for me, I'd probably ruin it by inappropriate comments and hysterical giggles.
IhavenoFREAKINclue Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 I love actually f***in to music. A song that has explicit lyrics. Like R Kelly's "Seems like your ready" Theres a part in the songs where he talks and instructs you what to do...WHOOOOOO Pretty hot!!! Make it more enjoyable when you have the beat in the background that you can thrust to!
Merin Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 Omg! I would be dying if My BF threw on some Kenny G Getting her a new CD would be a good idea.. for real Kenny G?! I like R.Kelly too.. and Usher.. Mmmmm.. While I can't say I need music to be in the mood to get it on, when a cool song is on and you're getting it on, it's good too! Ohhhh Pretty Ricky~ Grind with me, is good too!
scarlyjones Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 lmfao................lol............... BANJO!!!!!!!!!! lmao
scarlyjones Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 I think putting on music is tacky as hell. Its sorta a way of saying,..okay,.........Im about to try and F##k you now. CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSYYYYY
Jennifer'sSecret Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 "Mood music" reminds me of like..."Freaks of the Industry" or whatever that song is...something about the towel under the door...ya know that one?
Author No Foolin Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 Yeah, I get the gist that "mood" music is mostly a fem thing. But, I feel all "wtf", its like an event for her. She goes from mildly out of control techno/drum and base girl to.......Kenny G. It must be the vodka. The killer is, I'm just waiting for the CD to end, because I keep getting visuals of some dude with a perm mullet blowing on a reed instrument (total turn off). She has the entire CD on repeat. It starts getting to me, like I'm some DJ (the quiet storm) on a late night R&B station. My voice gets all deep, LOL. Its her place so pretty much I have to roll with it. No Foolin
