whether she has what I would consider a good job or not, or if she was living with a relative, does not show if someone has a good work ethic (good being another relative term) or takes pride in what they do.

Yes I understand that. I am aware that theres exceptions to the rule.

 

But for the most part if a man or a woman is in their 40's, and not established, with a steady income, a place of their own, and able to support themseves, its usually a red flag.

 

When I start talking with a woman, and find out that she has no job, or is "trying to go back to school", contrary to what her dating profile says, I do not instantly hang up on her. I learn about her situation. But 99% of the time she is in the situation because of her own actions. Not because a company downsized and laid her off.

 

You are talking about people falling on hard times. I'm talking about people that are in the situation they are in because they put themselves there. Huge difference.
