Sitting here at my PC pondering life's mysteries ... I started wondering ....

What constitutes a "flirt"?

Are there degrees of flirt?

Is there a difference in a flirt, and "testing the waters" for some potential relations?

Toughts, observations?

Toughts, observations?

1. Any interaction with sexual undertones.

2. Yes, there is the

"I want to sleep with you" flirt

"I want to feel attractive, but have no intentions of sleeping with you" flirt (selfish, mainly)

"teasing/pity" flirt (only done for people you personally like but still wouldn't sleep with)

"friendly flirt" (mutual attraction with an understanding that sex isn't going to actually happen)

"perimeter attraction flirt" (flirting with a target, with no other intentions but to attract the

attention of targets on the perimeter - seen mainly when straight girls dance up on each other

in a sexual way for no other reason than to attract the attention of any males watching.)

"surface area" flirt (going from target to target looking for one you seriously want to flirt with

... and so on.

3. Yes - flirting is not as serious. Its the difference between going through a drive-through and going to a sit-down restaurant. The expectations in flirting are lower, and not as serious.
