7675 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 When you meet a girl through friends, get her number and all that... Is it better to get to know her a bit (by hanging out with mutual friends) before asking her out for a 1on1 meeting? Or should you go straight for a 1on1 meeting asap?
d0nnivain Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Depends on the girl & your ages. The younger you are the more the mutual friends group thing is OK. Read this thread; your Q has already been debated to death: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/general/general-relationship-discussion/543131-women-lose-interest-if-guy-doesnt-make-move-her
Siquijor Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Did she give you her number? Sorry, but you didn't make that point concise enough.
empresario Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Talk to her, get to know her. If you're an adult there's nothing against asking her out 1v1. If anything she may expect that. The only exception is if you need other people to lighten the mood or keep conversation flowing (if you're shy, for example). If you're a kid, I don't know. The world has changed dramatically in the 10 years since I've been one.
Author 7675 Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 Early 20's. Yeah, I don't know her really well. Her and our mutual friend want to hang out this weekend. That would give me a chance to get to know her in a lighter mood, as you put it. But this weekend is like the only time I might get to see her 1on1. Next time might be 2 weeks from now. And I'm well aware that waiting too long to ask someone out has its consequences
Siquijor Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Yes, she gave me her number. If that's the case go for the 1 on 1 but don't come across as too eager
Siquijor Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Actually ignore that above post of mine ^ Just noticed what you wrote about meeting up with your friend and her at the weekend. No need to phone her now.
