treehugger101 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 If you and your partner got into a fight and one of you asked the other to come over to talk things over in person, wouldn't you do that for your partner? Instead of lingering and avoiding not coming over to talk? Like you know be mature adults and talk things over in person, rather than texting or over the phone.

ExpatInItaly Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 If I was very angry and knew I needed time to cool down, I would wait to speak in person until I had cleared my head. However, I would also communicate that to my partner so he'd understand it wasn't a personal rejection. I would want to discuss things once the emotions had calmed and we could have a conversation without things flaring up. But yes, I would want to talk in person and not via text or on the phone. 2
d0nnivain Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Talking in person is always preferable to texting but a cooling off period is not unreasonable. 1
