He stood me up for our coffee date, should I give him a 2nd chance?

There are very few and far between reasons that a "I can't make it text" should ever come after the date start time.

Maybe I should clarify on this. I was sitting in the coffee shop, 20 minutes after our appointed meet time I was about to send a text when I got one from him. It said "I can't make it, my son came over an hour ago." An hour ago and he just now let me know? Loser.

I love it when Toodles talks about "pillocks," "prats," and "cocks." (And "tits" for that matter.) :p

Blue, no second chance in my book. The only legit excuse for being stood up was their mom was rushed to the hospital, and his wasn't. Dead letter file. Next. :)

If he's the manager then chances are he DID get called in to work even if it was his day off.

He is the manager...the problem isn't if he actually got caught up in work.

It's that he didn't have the courtesy and respect to re-schedule or cancel.

If he did get called into work, and he knew it was getting crazy... He should have called me and said, "Hey, I am so sorry but I was called into work, and it's looking crazy. I was looking forward to meeting you...When is a good time for you?" I

or "I am sorry but I am going to have to cancel, I am no longer interested."

And the second thing is he didn't even apologize by calling but instead texted an apology. That is so half assed. For standing someone up, you need to call them and be truly sorry. A text is effortless which shows what he thinks about me...I am effortless. Sorry boo, on to the next customer.

Tell me why he texted me 30 mins ago. asking how I am doing and what am I up to?

I knew he would contact me again, but it's like really? You have no shame bro.

Id change your oil for you and give you a full service! lol

Possible he`s got a girlfriend. The reason why I say this is a female friend of mine met a guy on a train. She got his number and set a date.

The date never happened as he said he was busy and had to reschedule but he was hot and cold and only texted late in the evening. Never during the day. My friend had a feeling he was being hot and cold as she believed he had a girlfriend and she decided to call him on it.

Sure enough he confessed and said he just wanted a bit of fun.

If a guy really liked you he`d show you more respect and tell you the truth.

Dodged a bullet there!

Maybe instead of phone #'s people should ask for email addresses to check if they are on that nice little cheating website :roll eyes: people are such wasters of life.

Ha ha, only thing he banging is his lotion filled sock:rolleyes:

It's just like F off. Part of me wants to text, "Really, bro?" I noticed men hate being called bro, because they know that means you put them in the friend zone.

He either wasn't that interested or is already attached, maybe married. A guy who is interested will contact you to postpone if he has to suddenly work later. Someone who stands you up and then doesn't contact you for hours is not worth it. No point taking initial flattering comments seriously, guys do it all the time. It doesn't mean they mean it or that they will act on it. Look for the guy who does follow through and is polite and respectful, someone who values you.
