rdet123 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Hey all, So I was chatting on the phone to a guy i've been dating for the past few weeks and while on the phone we were talking about my weird sleeping habits. During the convo I told him in a joking matter "well, if I keep you around til then" you will find out for yourself. We aren't yet exclusive and so I really don't know how long he will be around lol But, I just didn't know if that came off as too harsh. I said it in a playful manner, but you never know how things are perceived. Guys, If a girl said to you "If I keep you around til then" would you be offended? Or would it seem more like a challenge of sorts to stay around?

I definitely would not see it as a challenge to stay around though. It would probably score you a few negative points.
PegNosePete Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Guys, If a girl said to you "If I keep you around til then" would you be offended? Or would it seem more like a challenge of sorts to stay around? Challenge to stay around? Where did you get that from? Reading too much PUA sites...? After a few weeks dating: - If I could tell it was a joke then I'd laugh or play along. - If I thought she was serious I wouldn't see her again.
La.Primavera Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Everyone is different depending on how serious, sensitive or easygoing they are. How did he react when you said it?
d0nnivain Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 In a joking manner, I have said similar things to men. It's called being cheeky. But the guy always knew I was kidding & alluding to a possible future sexual relationship. In a serious conversation I would never say such a thing. I certainly wouldn't rehash it unless he brings it up & seems upset. If that happens apologize & assure him you were kidding. 1
