If your not completely over her, then don't go. Only bad things can come from that.

On the one hand, you're free to go where you like.

 

But I know that I couldnt face seeing my ex again. It would just upset me all over again.

 

If it is really going to upset you I would say dont go.

The point of no contact is to protect YOU and allow yourself to heal. If seeing her will set you back and make you miss her all over again, then don't go yet. It's you protecting you. Eventually, you will get to the point where you don't care and at that point, go and live it up. Until then - protect you.
