A woman offering to buy me a drink

That's kind of an ambiguous signal which means I don't know what her intentions are behind buying me the drink. Friends can buy each other drinks too. However if I have no romantic interest in her I'm going to play it safe and decline her offer like I did earlier this month. This way I have all bases covered. If there was romantic intent behind it then she can't rightfully accuse me of leading her on since by declining the offer I have hopefully sent a clear signal to discourage her any further. Therefore my conscience is clear. If there was just friendly intent then I still have not caused any harm in declining the offer.

 

Regardless of the intent it still makes me a little uncomfortable for a woman to offer to buy me a drink whether it is a coworker or best friend or even a woman I have a crush on. I think the best course of action is to put a CAP on it early and saying no thank you.

Don't you get tired of posting the same thing over and over?

 

Do you do it to get affirmation that you're doing the right thing?

 

Do you do it cuz you're gonna keep on posting and collecting people's responses/opinions?

 

Or, is this posting over and over some sort of reminder to not accept drinks from women. So, by posting it over and over you're reinforcing your resolve?

I have collected all responses and opinions from the past. I have printed a huge stack of papers of responses.

 

By the way things with my crush are always subject to new developments like a new behavior that she takes on or something. You and others just assume that it is always going to be like this and that there won't be any changes.
