My friends, girlfriend, and I planned a trip to my cabin a month ago and were set to go next weekend. I've talked about it a little with my girlfriend and she said she would be down to go so I just left it at that.

Here's the problem, my girlfriend loves to play D&D (Dungeons and Dragons for all you none nerds out there) on Friday nights with her ex co-workers. It's one of her favorite things to do. I try to work a schedule around that so she has a chance to go any Friday she wants. Tomorrow were busy and shes going to miss her session, so she really wants to go next week. However, all my friends want to leave after work for the cabin (its a 3 hour drive). My girlfriend usually is done with D&D around midnight, so we could leave after, but it would be 3-4am when we get there and everyone would be asleep.

My girlfriend suggested that I go without her. Not sure how I feel about this. Half of me is ok with it because I love her and don't want to hold her back from what she loves. The other half is upset because she is choosing to play a game instead of enjoy a weekend with me and my friends (we're all gamers/nerds too, so we will be doing pretty much the same thing). She did say she was coming too a while back.

How would you guys feel about this? Thanks for reading.

She must be 15 years old. Well adjusted grown adults don't put some silly nerd game before REAL life.

Hahahaha.

There should be unwritten rule in the universe that all gaming nerds should stick together and date other gamers like themselves.

She can give up ONE Friday night.

Jeez - we didn't give such meaning to attachment, i'd say dump her ASAP.
