iwontsettle Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 so i have been talking for the past month to a guy that seems ok and we both want to meet each other. i think i may have been a bit to pushy and keen and have possible scared him away. is there any advice on how to reel him back in and redeem the situation?
fitnessfan365 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Well to be honest, I don't think he ever wanted to meet in the first place. If he did, he would have made plans w-you way sooner into the process IMO. My advice from now on would be to move on from a guy if he doesn't make plans to meet within a week tops. 4
GunslingerRoland Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 If someone doesn't want to meet after a month of talking what is the point? There are lots of people online who for whatever reason just want the fantasy and don't actually want to meet real people to date. If you aren't one of them, then avoid them. 1
ExpatInItaly Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 What's the reason you haven't met yet? And what leads you to think you were too keen and scared him away?
robmeister1190 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 You should've tried to meet him sooner and why exactly do you think you were being pushy in the situation?
d0nnivain Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I thought Tinder was about meeting instantly. What could you have possibly done in a month that scared him? If after a month he still doesn't want to meet it's probably more on him then you. Don't sweat it.

Also, if it is Tinder, shouldn't he want to meet immediately? If he dragged it on for so long I doubt he ever really wanted to meet you, sadly to say
LoveRefreshed Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 The last tinder match I had that wasn't a robot spammer, I asked to meet for a coffee about 7 messages in. She wasn't ready yet, so I told her that's fine, but I don't want a perma-pen-pal. She never messaged me back. You gotta weed them out. Just tell him it's time to set a meeting or it's time to move on.
wb1988 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 "Tinder romance" — two words that should never be used together, that's all I gotta say. 1
