Has anyone had experiences with people who are flirts? Like someone who acts like they're attracted to you and/or interested and if you dare try to escalate it (ie chat them up), they are rude, abrupt, pretend like they never did a thing to get your attention and it's all in your head or something? And/or they'll pull the "oh, my gf is coming, so go away already".

How did you deal with it?

Is it even worth it to confront someone like this? I mean they obviously get a high/fix on the attention and are all about themselves - cuz if they're cold enough to turn it on you and blow you off, what's the point in confronting them? People like them are like vampires I guess? They only use others to feed their needs and dispose of them when they don't need their "fix".

I'm leaning towards just ignoring them, cuz at first I was thinking of a confrontation - but you can't rationalize with someone who won't own up to their poop and/or at least be open enough to consider how their actions affect others AND WORST, will flip it on you in a heartbeat.

Thanks for your responses in advance,

Distance yourself from someone like that, pronto!

No point in confrontation. He's got some type of issue, and you don't need to know what that reason is.

Just that you don't want to be a part of it! NEXT!

Ummm... and then there's this... shouldn't that be more of a concern?

I have always taken a flirt for well....a flirt, meaning I don't take them seriously.

Men who want to be with me ask me out, make their intentions clear, pursue me. They don't only flirt. :)

Good point.

Isn't his having a girlfriend, Gloria, enough for you to give him a wide berth before he can even get his flirting off the ground?

The presence of a girlfriend would be enough for me to tell him off.

I say nip this in the bud yesterday Pteromom-style, G.

What a creep.

Definitely ignore him. You're truly an amazing, smart, kickass girl who doesn't need this immature bull**** behaviour.

I've never had a woman flirt with me in that way, but I know many men that do it. I think its because they are typically insecure and they need attention, or they need to feel in their head that they could get with you is probably more like it.

There would be a group of us out having drinks, and the one guy would be flirting up different women throughout the night, but about 10 mins before his gf would show up he would make it a point to announce to everyone that his "gf will be here soon" so in other words, it meant "ok time to stop playing the flirting game and act normal while my gf is here".

That type of behavior is exactly what I've talked about in other threads....I've personally witnessed how all the other women absolutely love when the guy flirts, and showers them with attention, even though the gf will be showing up later.

Why dont women call a guy out on that? Why do women ENJOY such behavior from a guy that is disrespecting his gf?
