LookAtThisPOst Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I was wondering, have you noticed a few fake profiles that popup on OK Cupid occasionally. You can usually tell by... 1. The woman actually aims at an age bracket that's abnormally high. One in her early 30's was willing to date a man 80 years old. 2. They only fill out the first section, and it sounds very cut and paste. 3. If they respond, they turn out NOT to living in the area you had found them. Thoughts?
LilaMarie Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I have a profile on there but I believe most are fake. I've come across posts that women have met men asking them to wire money...typical scam. Most of the men messaging me are from another country. So I log on once in a blue moon.
impatiently_patient Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I've been on and off Ok Cupid for years. They're pretty good at weeding out fake profiles. They don't last long in my experience. Plenty Of Fish, on the other hand, HAS to be at lest 50% fake profs. They're just structured far to similarly from one to the next. The whole site stinks of gray hat. You get to the point where you don't even want to bother with anyone who's attractive... to which I asked myself, "Am I here to meet women I'm not attracted to?", said no, and ditched the site. POF is just garbage. 2
Don22 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Yes I noticed all what was mentioned and that's why I haven't been on there for well over a year.
