Rrovertherainbow Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) Has it ever happened to anyone here? To meet someone, even for just a little bit and to feel that they mirror your being (or soul), despite different backgrounds and experiences? To have them run away and instead of sadness and bruised egos and bad fights to only wish them well and go on with life, remaining calm that despite the run, they will come back? To feel a person on the other side of the world and be felt? Or is this just crazy and a metaphysical excuse to hold on to unrequited feelings? ***** Edit background info: I am not sure how I feel about metaphysical issues yet, I have studied a bit, but not enough to have an opinion. I met this guy though through online dating and we spent a couple of days together (from different countries). The connection was too intense before but upon meeting, it became extremely intense, even though it did not became intimate. For me, it was like watching my inner world in a mirror. He actually mentioned first though that it was as if we knew each other from another life or a long time ago and we just picked up the conversation where we left it off - He rejected me after it was over, he said because of distance, but I never felt really sad because of this, just a weird sense of confidence that I haven't seen the end of it. We still talk occasionally. He will say things like he can feel my presence and stuff like that and weirdly, I can sometimes feel it too. Also, the weeks before our first online contact and our first in person meeting were so intense and so many events took place that even people in my environment would tell me 'something is going on'. I am just curious if anyone here has experienced this. Edited August 9, 2015 by Rrovertherainbow
