mortensorchid Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I was doing some Facebook spying on some people from my past today. One was absolutely, positively nuts - he and I dated for about 6 weeks if that back in 06. He told me he had a psychiatric disorder, been hospitalized, etc. but did not believe in taking meds. Long story short he decided I wasn't the right woman for him, there were multiple unfriendings on his part of me (in the MySpace days) and attempts to contact me again. He met and married another woman barely a year after our 6 week fling. He said he didn't want children and had two children with the woman he married. It's now 7/8 years later, no more marriage. Why aren't people smarter when it comes to a rebound or trying people out for size? Instead they grab onto the first available who comes along and MARRY them?! 9 out of 10 times that person turns out to be someone you were not supposed to have anything more than a fling or a lost weekend with. They're living with and married to a stranger because they are so eager to have someone in their lives.
