We both having children and our exes both did the same thing (cheat, drug use) and so we started talking, calling and seeing each other and things started moving kind of fast. He stayed over a few nights and we didn't have sex. I thought we were exclusive around that point he would call me babe,baby make me feel the greatest. Anyway he was working alot and ended up quitting his job and moving back to my hometown and I could tell he was stressed but I helped him the best I could even when he didn't want to let me in his mess. . Well long story short he got very distant and even went mia from sat. to almost mon. And said he was out with his guy friends camping and left his phone but then I didn't hear from him so I sent him a msg saying I think you're a really great person I just don't think the timing is right for either of us at the time then he came over to get his stuff and the breakup sounded more open ended that he left everything up to me says I need to figure out and then we can try again.. well after that we were still talking nearly everyday and now he's doin work for us so I have to see him everyday. I can't tell if we are just friends or if he's just here to make money or if he's here for me too. He still makes cute little jokes about us and my looks and is flirtatious but when he comes to hug me it's a two tap hug very short. Then he called me the other night wanting to come over and it was too late so I didn't answer. He never showed up for work said he got sick but I know he was out drinking that night. Now he's gone mia again and it seems like he only sees me during the weekdays and so the only thing I can think of is maybe he's seeing someone else during the weekends and uses me as his weekday gf.

Based on what you've written, I don't believe he's using you...but also based on what you've written, I believe you're putting yourself in the position to be used and he's taking advantage of your generous offers.
