EMY711 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 How would you interrupt when he says " you are more than just a friend". I developed feelings for a friend and we took things further by sleeping with each other. We still remain friends but we haven't had sex since. We talk everyday and always do things together but our feelings have never been further discussed until I got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore. He told me we would have a talk about it but we still haven't yet. I keep getting mixed signals from him and the other night while heading home after some drink, he told me he cares about me a lot and values me as a friend and then continued to say I'm more than just a friend to him. I just don't get it...
d0nnivain Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 If you haven't been on a date at most you are more then a friend because you are a friend with benefits but that doesn't mean he has real romantic feelings toward you
casey.lives Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 it means pull back. it can give him clarity .. if he starts to miss u.. his feelings can become more apparent to him. sometimes stepping back helps people see better
wb1988 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 How would you interrupt when he says " you are more than just a friend". Well I don't know how I would 'interrupt', but I would interpret it as him wanting to use you as a **** buddy.
Author EMY711 Posted August 1, 2015 Author Posted August 1, 2015 If you haven't been on a date at most you are more then a friend because you are a friend with benefits but that doesn't mean he has real romantic feelings toward you How can we be friends with benefits if we only slept with each other 2 times and that was 4 months ago. He hasn't tried to sleep with me but still is maintaining friendship and telling me i'm more than a friend.
d0nnivain Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 FWB encompasses past actions as well as present circumstances in my book. If is statement was more recent AND it has not been accompanied by a request for an actual date I'd interpret it as a throw away phrase that doesn't mean anything but is rather something to say. You like him & you want it to mean something but his actions are saying it doesn't. Sorry. 1
