To sum it up, if you had fun, great. If you met someone cool too, that's great too. Um. Psycho/crackhead would be the crazy HUGE bald black dude wandering around with what looked to be a half oz. of coke in a baggie in his hand who was holding his hands up to the sky saying that he was jesus in the parkinglot behind a bar I went to last weekend. Not standing on a chair singing along to a song.

Not standing on a chair singing along to a song. I agree (especially in your case where the one being observed literally appeared to be a crack head!), but apparently not everyone shared that point of view in my experience. Anyways, once again, that was just my experience, and as I said before, if he met someone cool doing whatever he was doing, then great for him. Originally posted by blind_otter i agree, it definitely depends on who is doing it. most of the ones i've seen have been "omg i am embarrassed for him" kinda guys. This might have caused what I was talking about. What is it that makes the difference in getting classified as one type of guy or the other given the same situation and action?
SexKitten Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Originally posted by SexKitten i agree, it definitely depends on who is doing it. most of the ones i've seen have been "omg i am embarrassed for him" kinda guys. actually that was me, not blind otter.
Lights Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Originally posted by SexKitten actually that was me, not blind otter. Sorry. At least I got the quoting thing right this time! What would make the difference between such guys in your opinion, SexKitten?
SexKitten Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Originally posted by Lights What would make the difference between such guys in your opinion, SexKitten? i don't know, it depends on a lot of things. some guys have it, and some just don't, and usually you can tell just by looking at 'em. sounds unfair, but that's how it works for me, for the most part.
RecordProducer Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Originally posted by UCFKevin So apparently this is a turn on for some women. Is this a common thing? Women who like guys who just don't care about what people think about them? No.
SexKitten Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Originally posted by RecordProducer No. i'm with RP. women like confident guys, not guys who make fools of themselves. if a girl sees a guy making a fool of himself, she may see it as confidence. still others see it as being silly and find it quite unnattractive.
EC Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 LIke SK said some guys have it some guys dont. A guy can do that and look completely confident and cute and adorable and others can look silly, and immature. It all depends.
scarlyjones Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 So enough about this,.....................................So,....whens the next show, "Rainy VanHalen"? Id like to see you play. You can play outdoor venues too. Weather wouldnt be an issue cuz ya play the umbrella. You could open with "ThunderStruck",..........and end with "Cold November Rain".................You could encore with "Ride the Lightning" You could really take the music world by "storm"
tokyo Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Some guys are nice, while others are nice Some have a certain je ne sais quoi and others would like to have it, too. Guys who only have confidence when they are drunk are certainly not cool.
JS17 Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 confidence and sense of humor as everyone said. i think the one thing that makes the "embarassing" guy different from the fun guy is whether they're doing it for attention or doing it to just have fun with his friends.

SexKitten Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Originally posted by UCFKevin Well, screw it, *I* had fun. well good for you, that's all that matters!
whichwayisup Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Originally posted by reservoirdog1 The older I get, the more I've come to believe that women don't necessarily all covet "bad boys" -- they just need somebody who will keep them on their toes at times. THAT is exactly right!
melina Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 I guess I would find that sort of behaviour attractive if I was into one-night-stands. A guy who behaves like that is probably drunk enough to go home with any chick. Now, I am NOT into one-night-stands. I would never date a guy who I met like that. To me it would indicate that - even in a serious relationship - you would on certain occasions get so drunk to make a fool out of yourself and therefore attract flimsy girls. My opinion - that's all
Illusion24 Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 It makes them think..."HMM, this ones pretty wild and fun, Wonder if he'll be a fool for me??" I gotta admit, I would have been looking at you and MAYBE if I was drunk I would've found it cute. But some girls like that a man puts himself out there to look funny, it makes them think you have a wild side. I wouldn't want my bf though to get up and sing like that in a crowd but it would be funny to see a friend of mine..Hey you know what come to think of it...I would have probably joined you...
Author UCFKevin Posted May 10, 2005 Author Posted May 10, 2005 A guy who behaves like that is probably drunk enough to go home with any chick. HAHAHAHA! What a classy generalization. Thanks. I needed that laugh. For the record, I went home alone by choice. I do not, as you say, get drunk enough to go home with any chick. What lame lame lame thing to say.
Merin Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Damn.. I didn't think there was that much hidden meaning in someone having a good time out with thier Friends
blind_otter Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Originally posted by UCFKevin Well, screw it, *I* had fun. Let's stop beating around the bush. The only difference between this being a sign of confidence and this being embarassing is that is a fugly person does it, it's embarassing. If an attractive person does it, it's a sign of confidence. Luckily you fall under the "attractive person" category. nuff said.

I am such a goober.

(congrats on the boyfriend by the way...i wish i had someone to visit far away....good luck!)
