Spiteful soon to be ex....trying to ruin me?

Alrighty in the past couple of days new developements have been appearing from nowhere regarding me and what I have been doin since I left my soon to be ex 7 months ago...basically my Ex is finding it fun to spread rumors to people on another forum that he and I both are on. These people are accusing me of sleeping with multiple people and making poor judgements where my daughter is concerned. I am so upset because these people are actually listening to his stories...I have stated my case a couple times but feel that I don't need to defend myself when I have done nothing wrong. I haven't done anything I regret or anything that would put my child in a bad situation.

 

We both have moved on with our lives he's living with his GF and I'm in a new very incredible relationship and am happier than I have been in years. I don't slam his relationship, nor do I spread rumors about him because there is no point in that childish behavior..so why does he feel he is proving something by trying to hurt me?

 

I emailed him today asking him what his problem is and why he can be sweet to my face and then I find out from strangers that he's lying about me? I haven't gotten a response as of yet and I will be seeing his GF tonight when I drop our daughter off with her for the weekend and then I will see him on mother's day.

 

I just don't know if I should just ignore it or if confronting him is an ok idea...I was ignoring it until there was stuff said today that totally blasted my character in front of many people and not one ounce of it was true.

If these are anonymous posts and no one knows who you really are then forget it.

 

If these are not anonymous posts and even one person knows who you are then shouldn't you be talking to your attorney about defamation of character?
