pie2 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 (edited) I am a poor pilgrim of sorrow I'm tossed in this wide world alone No hope have I for tomorrow So I've started to make heaven my home Sometimes I'm tossed and driven Lord Sometimes I don't know where to roam But I've heard of a city called heaven And I've started to make it my home My mother is already in glory But my father's still walking in sin My brothers and sisters won't own me Because I am trying to get in When you're down and out When you're on the street When evenin' falls so hard I will comfort you I'll take your part Oh when darkness comes And pain is all, is all around Just like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge Just like a bridge Over troubled over troubled water I will lay me down Edited July 31, 2015 by pie2 2
Author BetheButterfly Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 This is really cool! It's a mix of the fun "cup" song, the wonderful song "I'll Fly Away" and other wording. ("I'll Fly Away" is one of my most favorite songs that my Dad used to sing to my sisters and me when we were young .) This song with the cup game is awesome too: "Screen Door" -otherwise known as "Faith Without Works" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lZzp1u1PDQ

Mine include the following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTcS-sjWTAc Mi Burrito Sabenero My husband is so tired of the above song lol, but I can sing it all day! Author BetheButterfly Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 Hi B, You can't go wrong with Chris Rice...simple, compassionate. G Beautiful and powerful!!! Am listening to it right now! Thanks for sharing it! Oh guess what? My hubby has his motorcycle and all that goes with it (license changed for moto, insurance) now! It's beautiful, and he loves it!!! Thanks so much for helping me get over my insecurities and fears. I just trust in God to protect my hubby, and I try not to nag him, even when he doesn't wear his helmet grr. My hubby loves the freedom and adrenaline in riding his moto, and once he feels comfortable riding alone, he will invite me on and learn how to drive it with a passenger! I'm so excited now, and it's so freeing not to be afraid!!! It makes life much more an adventure! Blessings to you and your loved ones! 2
sagetalk Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Holy One By David Salinas http://www.davidsalinasministries.com/home The song plays on his website first when you load it. It has an uplifting power to it. He has an amazing voice and sings with his heart instead of his mouth. 1
TennisGal Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 "Be Not Afraid" Some lyrics: Be not afraid; I go before you always. Come, follow me, And I will give you rest. 1
Author BetheButterfly Posted July 23, 2016 Author Posted July 23, 2016 While a children's song, I do think it's inspirational and important for adults too. Adults actually need this song in some cases more than children do. Why? Because I see children of all the skin colors in the human rainbow play with each other and have fun together. More adults need to do this too, or at least talk with respect to each other! "Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World" 1

More adults need to do this too, or at least talk with respect to each other! "Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World" Matthew:19:14... Love that verse! I recall a movie that had a song that impacted my life... Bless the Beast and the Children... 46 years later and I still tear up on the devotion these children had to protect the animals... I often think that is how devoted some are to their faith... 1

Author BetheButterfly Posted September 30, 2016 Author Posted September 30, 2016 Colored People by DC Talk (I grew up on this song ) Some lines: 'Pardon me, your epidermis is showing, sir I couldn't help but note your shade of melanin I tip my hat to the colorful arrangement 'Cause I see the beauty in the tones of our skin We've gotta come together And thank the Maker of us all" ... "We're colored people, and we live in a tainted place We're colored people, and they call us the human race We've got a history so full of mistakes 'Cause we are colored people who depend on a holy grace Ignorance has wronged some races And vengeance is the Lord's If we aspire to share this space Repentance is the cure" Read more: DC Talk - Colored People Lyrics | MetroLyrics " 1
