Bobbi7 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Ok, so, its confirmed I'm meeting up with this guy from OLD for the 2nd time. We are going to the movies. He suggested to pick me up, I declined. I just told him that I was fine meeting him at the theater. I just feel uncomfortable getting in a car with a guy that I still don't know very well? That's just me, though. Was I being rude? Besides, if our 2nd date doesn't pan out right, it could be a very awkward ride home...

Being in a car with a stranger, and also giving him your address, just isn't a smart move in my opinion. Wait until you know him better for that sort of thing. 1

In a way, for me, it was sort of theatre. You make the offer. She declined. I'm a gentleman for offering. She's a lady for declining 2

I've twice picked someone up form their house on the FIRST date...this is OLD One was crazy joint-smoking drunk bitch, one was, well, lonely and naive to be honest. Again, (Gary) there are no hard set rules for this sort of thing...

The guy is still pretty much a stranger, and you don't want him knowing where you live until you get to know him a bit better. Are you two doing anything after the movie? Since you can't talk during, it would be cool if you got to extend the date and actually get to know each other more. Personally though, the only movie date I do w-a woman is the drive in later on. Double feature, your own food, you can talk during in the car, and you have fun during the intermission.

That said, I'm more concerned about the fact that you're going to a movie on a second date - talk about a horrendously planned event. You don't know each other and you'll be forced to sit in silence...you should have suggested something more interactive if you want to get to know him as opposed to what his profile looks like in a dark room...oh well, setting yourself up for failure I guess works if you're not that into him...

Arieswoman Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 should I let my date pick me up on our "2nd' meeting? I met him on OLD. No. You need to know a lot more about him until you get to that stage. Keep meeting him at coffee bars etc until you are sure. Stay safe.
