xcupid Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Is learning to be Heartless a way to get over a heartbreak? Is it a possble way ? What could be the outcome ? By heartless do you mean not having any feelings and closing up emotionally with people? If you do, then it's not going to help in the future when you meet someone because you're going to be emotionally unavailable. 1
mrldii Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Yes, it is A way, OP...and frequently a common and necessary step in the healing process, especially when directed at the one who broke our heart. But as an on-going and everlasting response to the hurt? Nahhhh...doing a complete 180 for the rest of your life leaves you just as tied and committed to the unrequited love as if you'd simply stayed obsessed over the One That Got Away. Cut yourself some slack, take some time to process what happened and especially your part in it, brush yourself off, and - in time - if you're a normal, healthy, well-adjusted adult, you'll be able to do it again. A little wiser and stronger...and probably even better (at it). Best of luck to you... 1
