mortensorchid
Someone once told me that they think I have a sense of entitlement about me, that I come first and the rules don't apply to me. THis is the first time I have ever heard someone tell me this about me. And you know what? I have adopted one lately because I have tried very hard to do the right things with others. I mean this is in my professional as well as my personal life. I have tried to do the right things, keep my mouth shut, always take the high road no matter what the situation. And it has gotten me nowhere. I have tried getting more aggressive when someone wrongs me, it does not work either. One guy (an employee) at the gym where I used to work out gave me some serious attitude once, I chased him back to the front office and ratted on him and demanded an apology out of him. He gave a backhanded one and the staff fired him for the incident. That tainted me in their eyes and I ended up leaving the gym because of it. I don't get it. I see people doing and saying anything they want and getting away with it, they don't care who they offend. The minute I try doing the same thing, I get into trouble. I'm entitled? Poutrew
Entitled? Nah... It's probably because you aren't being very sophisticated in seeking justice. Tattling to the boss is kind like what kids do when they tell mommy that someone's been bad... you gotta learn 'politik'. Be less vocal and more underhanded. Data a politician if you want to gain true insight in how to deal with frienemies.
