pjm123 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 she wasnt in relationship she just told me he was side to him it was weird she wanted to say hi so yeah we all just said hi to each other he didnt seem to give a damn really i could just tell. she said she dont have feelings like that no more. do i assume she still wants him even tho she said nothins there? she said towards the end it fizzled out and she was faking it she knew him 4 yrs
TheBathWater Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 You're going to get lots of different responses here, but mine is this: There is always some part of us that feels for an old flame (unless it ended on absolute awful terms). It doesn't mean we would rekindle the romance with them, but they are still a part of our history and so we're always going to care for and be curious about them, want to know what they're up to on some level, etc... so I can see why she went over to go say 'hi' to him. Now, I doubt she wants to get back with him, but I think it is really poor social etiquette on her part to go give attention to an old flame when her current partner (you) is with her. If he really means nothing to her, and you really do mean something to her, I believe she should have ignored him. I would have told her I felt awkward and uncomfortable standing there alone watching her chat up some guy she was involved with and see how she responded.
