Is it proper etiquette for a woman to be "sexting" a guy after 1st date?

In my previous posts, I mentioned that I had a good date with this guy from OLD, according to his profile he seems to be really sex-driven. Seems like he wanted to hook up on the first meeting, I don't hook up the first time, but we're planning on getting together for a movie next week. He hasn't said anything sexual to me yet. Is he trying to be a gentlemen?

I would believe him to be waiting for you to make the move. I've known some men that generally try to be respectful of the woman and her comfort zone until she makes the move.

If you're comfortable with sexting him, I would advise you to do it. But only if you are comfortable and would not regret it. If it were me, I'd keep it non-sexual until flirting would eventually bring it up, perhaps after the third date. But everyone holds a different view on this issue, so I believe that it would really depend on what you're comfortable with. :S

I don't think anyone can judge someone else on what proper etiquette is. It is whatever you feel comfortable with. Not all relationships are the same or even start out the same.

He may think you are a "lady" and sexting him may knock you off that pedestal.

Proper? If you want to bone after a first date, don't worry about being proper, worry about being sexy. Sext away good friend, sext away. If you're worried about rejection or something, try and be subtle.. or not so subtle but whateves.

The OP didn't say she wanted to 'bone' (what are we, 12 years old here?) she asked about sexting. Jesus.

OP, if the guy is THAT sex-driven and was pretty obvious about wanting to hook up on the first date, then he's shown you loud and clear what he's after. If that's ALL you're looking for, then great. But if you're actually looking to meet someone and have a possible relationship with them, then this guy probably isn't the one you're looking for. Ugh. He sounds like a dog in heat. Did he hump your leg? If not, he'll be doing so shortly.

Get off your horse Lois. What do you want to call it? Bone, ****, bang, make love, have sexual intercourse. Clearly, she's curious about the nature of his sexuality.

Sexting is just foreplay to lead into real sex. Otherwise, wtf. It seems like she isn't as uptight and afraid of sex as much as you are.

Idk if it's about 'proper etiquette' or not...but, personally, I'd *NEVER* sext a guy at ANY point in time until he becomes my boyfriend. I reserve that for a guy that I'm exclusive with and with whom I know is as into me physically AND emotionally as I am into him.;)

If, by reading his profile, you have concluded that this guy is very sexual, then he's probably waiting for YOU to give him some sort of single for him to forge full steam ahead.

Do what you want to do as long as you know you won't regret it later.

Yeah, he might be waiting for me to say something first. He hasn't asked me any sex questions yet...I like to reserve that until the 2nd date. But then again, I don't want to wait too long before he thinks I'm a prude. I'm really attracted to him. He did kiss me towards the end...

What do you want out of it? Just casual or one off sex?
