Jonp219 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 (edited) Actually, if you read up on the effects of porn on the brain, social anxiety is one of the common symptoms of porn overuse. And this is probably worst in young single guys with little relationship experience. To make things clear. I have given up using porn. I have not given up Knocking one out when I feel the urge. Personally I don't think it's healthy or necessary to stop that. Holy ****, that's me in a nutshell I mean...oh wow, that's interesting stuff Do you know any good articles that talk about this effect on the brain?? Btw is there a difference between watching porn and masturbating vs. thinking of porn and masturbating?? Because i'm thinking if I were to stop porn altogether, what should I think about when i'm just trying to knock one out? What do you think about? Edited September 5, 2015 by Jonp219
Author joseb Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 Although I am a bit worried my many years of overuse of porn has left a lasting impression. Started dating a girl and I've noticed that I'm struggling to get off. No issues getting up or turned on, but just have some kind of mind block when it comes to getting off. This is the total opposite problem I had before with a lot of porn use where I was a one minute master way too often. I'm probably at a month and a half without porn and I'm really not feeling like looking for it at all anymore. Im 2 months now and no regrets. Stick with it, i think it can take a few months to properly rewire your brain if you were a long time heavy user. 1

Your Brain On Porn | Evolution has not prepared your brain for today's Internet porn is a good one to start with. If you stop porn, you will think of other things to fap about, don't worry
kylle Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I used to get some strange urges to masturbate, even during work shift, it was hard (no pun intended). I looked over yourbrainonporn and decided to make a 1 month challenge. I hae to say, it really did wonders to my mood...
Author joseb Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Kylle, did you last the month? I'm three months+ post porn, pretty much 'cured' now I think 1
